Warranty & Legal Disclaimer
Please read the following terms carefully before purchasing products or services from IA Motorsport.
Warranty
Warranty coverage applies only to work carried out on vehicles used solely for normal road use.
Any vehicle used for motorsport, competition, racing, track days, drifting, drag racing, time attack, off-road use, or any other form of competitive or performance driving is excluded from warranty coverage. Any road vehicle that subsequently participates in such activities will immediately void any warranty previously provided.
All rebuilt engines are considered motorsport products and are supplied without warranty due to the nature of their intended use and the extreme operating conditions to which they may be subjected.
IA Motorsport reserves the right to determine warranty eligibility following inspection of the vehicle and failed components.
Motorsport & Off-Road Use
Many products supplied by IA Motorsport are designed, manufactured or intended for motorsport and off-road use only. Their use is entirely at the customer's own risk.
Such products may not be legal for use on public roads in your country or region. It is the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and vehicle safety requirements before installation or use.
Vehicle Owner Responsibilities
The customer confirms that any vehicle presented to IA Motorsport is mechanically sound, safe to operate and suitable for the work requested.
IA Motorsport accepts no responsibility for failures arising from pre-existing faults, poor maintenance, incorrect modifications, previous workmanship by third parties, hidden defects or the general condition of the vehicle.
The owner is solely responsible for ensuring that all fluid levels, servicing requirements, maintenance schedules and any supplied engine break-in procedures are followed after completion of work.
Any alteration to the vehicle following completion of work, including but not limited to ECU software, engine calibration, wiring, sensors, fuel system components or mechanical modifications, will immediately void any applicable warranty.
Installation & Product Use
All products supplied by IA Motorsport should be installed by a suitably qualified professional.
Improper installation, misuse, abuse, incorrect tuning or operation outside the intended design limits may result in component failure, serious injury, death or property damage.
Do not purchase or install any product supplied by IA Motorsport unless you are satisfied that it is suitable for your intended application and you are competent, or have appointed a competent professional, to install and operate it safely.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL IA MOTORSPORT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE SUPPLY, INSTALLATION OR USE OF ANY PRODUCT OR SERVICE.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Loss of earnings
- Loss of vehicle use
- Recovery or towing costs
- Accommodation or travel expenses
- Competition losses
- Loss of business
- Vehicle hire costs
- Any other consequential financial loss
Motorsport places components under extreme mechanical and thermal stress, and operating conditions cannot reasonably be predicted or controlled. IA Motorsport accepts no responsibility for failures, damage, injury or loss resulting from motorsport use, improper installation, misuse, abuse, accidents, inadequate maintenance or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Modification of any vehicle may alter its handling, braking, emissions, reliability or on-road performance. The purchaser accepts full responsibility for any personal injury, death or property damage arising from the installation or use of products supplied by IA Motorsport.
Customer-Supplied Parts
IA Motorsport accepts no responsibility for failures caused by customer-supplied components or parts supplied by third parties.
Where IA Motorsport installs customer-supplied components, no warranty is provided on those parts or any failures resulting from their use.
Diagnostics
Diagnostic work represents IA Motorsport's professional opinion based upon the information available at the time of inspection.
IA Motorsport cannot guarantee that additional, unrelated or hidden faults do not exist and accepts no liability for issues that become apparent following diagnosis or repair.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty will be void where failure has resulted from, including but not limited to:
- Work carried out by third parties.
- Manipulation or alteration of ECU software or tuning data.
- Mechanical modifications made after completion of work.
- Failure to follow supplied engine break-in procedures.
- Failure to follow maintenance or servicing recommendations.
- Running the engine with insufficient oil, coolant or other essential fluids.
- Overheating.
- Detonation or incorrect fuel.
- Abuse, neglect or misuse.
- Pre-existing faults.
- Accidents or impact damage.
- Operation outside the intended design limits.
- Customer-supplied parts or components.
- Any circumstance outside IA Motorsport's reasonable control.
Claims Procedure
Should an issue arise, IA Motorsport must be given the first opportunity to inspect and diagnose the vehicle.
If another individual or business dismantles, repairs, modifies or inspects the vehicle before IA Motorsport has had the opportunity to assess the issue, IA Motorsport accepts no liability for subsequent repairs, diagnosis or associated costs, and any warranty claim may be refused.
Where IA Motorsport determines that a failure has resulted directly from machining or assembly carried out by IA Motorsport, IA Motorsport will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the affected engine or component at no cost.
Right to Refuse Work
IA Motorsport reserves the right to refuse, suspend or discontinue any work where a vehicle is considered unsafe, mechanically unsound, unsuitable for the requested work or where continuing may cause further damage or present a safety risk.
Aftermarket Parts
IA Motorsport does not provide any express or implied warranty on modified, performance or aftermarket parts supplied unless specifically stated in writing.
Only genuine, unmodified original equipment parts may be considered for manufacturer warranty, and any warranty claim remains entirely subject to the approval of the original parts manufacturer or supplier.
Acceptance
By purchasing products or services from IA Motorsport, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted this Warranty & Legal Disclaimer in full and agree to be bound by its terms.
